TCEA is looking for members who want to help support, represent, and strengthen our workforce. Serving on the Board is a meaningful way to make a difference in how we work together and how we show up for each other. No prior experience is required — just willingness to learn and participate. Open Positions for Election:

President – The President leads the Association and helps make sure our members’ voices are heard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and lead TCEA meetings.
  • Represent TCEA in discussions with City leadership and outside organizations.
  • Support and coordinate with other Board members and committees.
  • Ensure business is conducted fairly and that our bylaws are followed.
  • May delegate duties to the Vice President or others when necessary.

Secretary – The Secretary helps keep the Association organized and ensures communication runs smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take notes during meetings and maintain accurate records.
  • Manage membership records, correspondence, and notices.
  • Coordinate election ballots and vote tallying.
  • Keep files organized and pass them along to the next Secretary when the term ends.
    Includes: $25 stipend per eligible meeting (up to 16 per year).

Two (2) Directors (Board Members) – Directors strengthen the Board by helping guide decisions and support members.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend Board meetings and participate in discussions/votes.
  • Help represent and assist members regarding workplace concerns.
  • Support grievance or representation needs by connecting members with appropriate resources.
